Behind every ritual is a commitment to quality that goes beyond the label.
From ingredient verification to comprehensive laboratory testing, including heavy metals and microbiological analysis where documented, we believe quality should be supported by evidence — not simply claimed.
Quality goes beyond a brand's promises. It also depends on how products are evaluated and how transparently that information is communicated.
Third-Party Testing refers to analyses performed by a laboratory external to the manufacturer. This independence provides a separate perspective on the characteristics evaluated, according to the methods and parameters of each individual analysis.
At Adaptogen Ritual, testing practices vary by product. Some undergo independent laboratory testing, others are evaluated through in-house quality controls, and some involve both. Our commitment is to communicate these distinctions accurately, without extending individual testing results to our entire collection.
Testing and available documentation vary by product. Third-Party Testing does not, by itself, constitute product certification.
Knowing what's inside a product is only part of the story. Understanding what has been tested matters just as much.
Certificates of Analysis (COAs) document the results of quality assessments performed on raw materials or finished products, as applicable.
For many formulas in our collection, the documentation goes beyond ingredient verification to include heavy metal testing and microbiological analysis.
Different assessments. A more complete understanding of quality.
Assessments designed to verify ingredient identity and concentration, depending on the testing methods used.
Screening for potential contaminants such as lead, cadmium, arsenic and mercury, according to the parameters documented in the COA.
Testing designed to detect specified undesirable microorganisms and assess the microbiological quality of samples.
Results recorded in analytical documentation, including available testing parameters, methods or acceptance criteria, depending on each certificate.
Product quality begins long before it reaches your hands. It takes shape from the earliest stages of manufacturing.
From Good Manufacturing Practices to documented quality control systems, GMP, NSF and ISO standards help establish frameworks for quality, consistency and traceability throughout production.
Certification indicating that a manufacturing facility has been assessed against defined Good Manufacturing Practice requirements.
This may include reviews of procedures, documentation and quality control systems.
Indicates that manufacturing practices are represented as meeting applicable Good Manufacturing Practice requirements.
GMP compliance does not necessarily mean an independent certification has been issued.
NSF develops standards and administers assessment and certification programs related to manufacturing and quality.
The specific status depends on the NSF program and the supporting documentation for the facility.
ISO standards provide international frameworks addressing different aspects of quality, processes and laboratory operations.
ISO 22716 addresses cosmetic Good Manufacturing Practices, while ISO/IEC 17025 relates to the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.
Certifications, applicable standards and supporting documentation vary by product and manufacturing facility. Explore the quality information associated with each product for available details.
